Mengatur Volume Suara File MP3

Read more…

A Change to Bahasa Indonesia

June 13, 2011 2 comments

From today, I will start writing in my blog with Bahasa Indonesia which is my native tongue. This move is taken because not all of my friends are good in English. Even if there’s Google Translate and I already make it as good as possible in Google Translator, it doesn’t help much.
I hope with this change many will benefit the articles I written.
Terima Kasih.

Grub2 Chainloading

March 4, 2011 2 comments

Recently, I installed Debian Squeeze as my main Operating System (OS). Usually I have multiboot configuration in this laptop with 2 GNU / Linux distributions and Windows XP. This means I have to configure my bootloader to load the 3 systems.

The GNU / Linux I installed usually one as main OS while the other for distrohopping. But, I started to get tired to wipe the for-distrohopping partition every time I install a new distro. So then I wipe the partition (32 GB) into four 8 GB partitions so instead of trying a distro one by one, I opted to just install them all. LoL.

So, the number of OS to load increases to six. And the big problem is my Master Boot Record (MBR) which hold the data for the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) to boot OS is controlled by my main OS which is Debian 6.0 aka Squeeze and it uses Grub2 bootloader aka Grub-PC which is relatively new bootloader in GNU / Linux ecosystem.

The configuration file for Grub2 is located in /boot/grub/grub.cfg. You can think that this is the equivalent of /boot/grub/menu.lst in Grub legacy. If you open this file you’ll see at the top of it a warning message like this:

 # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE # # It is automatically generated by grub-mkconfig using templates # from /etc/grub.d and settings from /etc/default/grub

Microblog against *real* blog?

September 25, 2010 Leave a comment

Meh, it’s been a while since the last time I post here. The existence of microblog such as twitter and identica gain place as the quick and easy way to share what a blog (or a weblog in context) used to be, a personal experience and sharing it with families nor friends.

But, the limitation of the microblog make the *real* blog still exist to this day. For me, I really treat my microblog account as if it is my *blog*. So, when I come up to think about my *real* blog, I just running out of idea.

But, as I explore the capabilities of some tools like twitterfeed, I reconsidering of doing what most people does this day, feed their blog to their microblog.

Now, let me configure my blog to connect to my microblog. Hehehe…
